Set up a Keeper League From Yahoo Fantasy, mouse over Fantasy | select a sport. Click the Commissioner tab. Click the Draft & Keepers tab. Click Edit Keeper settings. Select "Yes, enable Keeper League Management tools". Click Submit.
Select Keepers in the Yahoo Fantasy app If you aren't on the Fantasy app home screen, tap the Fantasy Home icon. Tap a pre-Keeper deadline league. Tap or swipe to the League tab. Tap League announcements. Tap the ...select keepers... Tap the checkbox next to your preferred Keepers.
Go to ``League'' at the top main drop downs --> under your league, select ``League Announcements'' --> there's a notification that says something about selecting keepers with a hyperlink, click on it --> that opens up your team where you can select keepers.
Most keeper leagues set limits on how long a player can be held as a keeper, and the standard rule usually falls between two to three years. Penalties for keeping a player beyond one year can be implemented as well.
Unlike a dynasty league, where a team's entire roster carries over year after year, a keeper league still holds new drafts every season. However, unlike a traditional redraft league, keeper leagues allow you to keep a small number of players from your team into the next season.
While Draft Pick Trades is on, a new "Draft Picks" section appears and you'll be able to select a draft pick from next season while selecting your desired players to trade. Each trade needs to have an equal number of items traded (like 2 draft picks for 2 draft picks).
Keeper leagues allow Team Managers to keep players on their roster over multiple seasons without having to redraft them. Keepers are only available in League Manager leagues. Team Managers may select as few players or as many players as the league creator selected during league creation.
The key difference between a dynasty league and a standard redraft league is that when the season ends, all the players don't go back into the draft pool for next year.
