The Seventh District Judicial Court administrates and coordinates all Seventh Judicial District activities. This district is a ten-county area of northwest Minnesota and includes Stearns County. It operates and maintains a database that coordinates and tracks all cases in the Seventh Judicial District.
The Fourth Judicial District includes only Hennepin County, which is made up of 45 cities (population: 1.2 million). It is the state's largest trial court with 63 judges, 12 referees, and 582 staff who process approximately 40% of all cases filed in the state.
576 repealed the circuit court jurisdiction and assigned the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota to the Ninth Circuit. Following, Statute 14 Stat. 209 on July 23, 1866, Congress reorganized the circuits and assigned the District of Minnesota over to the Eighth Circuit.
