Texas Joint Discovery/Case Management Plan is a document created by the courts of the State of Texas to ensure that all parties involved in a lawsuit are aware of the rules and procedures to be followed in the discovery phase of the trial. It outlines the methods, timing, and scope of discovery, as well as any other matters related to the discovery process. The Plan is designed to facilitate the exchange of information between the parties, and to ensure that all parties are prepared to present their case in the most efficient and effective manner. There are two types of Texas Joint Discovery/Case Management Plan: the Standard Plan and the Special Plan. The Standard Plan is used for most civil cases, while the Special Plan is used for complex cases involving multiple parties, complicated legal issues, or many documents.
