All lines are not less than 4 inches (10.16cm) in width nor more than 5 inches (12 cm) wide. The field of play is divided into two halves by a halfway line. The center mark is indicated at the midpoint of the halfway line. A circle with a radius of 10 yds (9.15m) is marked around it.
The length of the touch line is greater than the length of the goal line. All lines are not more than 12cm wide. Length (touch line): Minimum 90m, maximum 120m. Width (goal line): Minimum 45m maximum 90m.
The distance between the inside of the posts is 7.32 m (8 yds) and the distance from the lower edge of the crossbar to the ground is 2.44 m (8 ft). The goalposts and the crossbar must be white and have the same width and depth, which must not exceed 12 cm (5 ins).
The lines must be of the same width which must not be more than (12cm) 5 inches. The FA have produced guidance documents for natural and football turf pitches that include recommended colours and how pitch dimensions and layouts can be implemented.
Build-Out Line Rules The build-out line shall be placed across the field equal distance between the top of the penalty area box and the halfway line for 8U-10U age groups. At any time, the player taking the goal kick, may pass to a teammate who is behind the build-out line.
Pitch boundary The two goal lines are between 50 and 100 yards (46 and 91 metres) wide and have to be of the same length. The two touchlines are between 100 and 130 yards (91 and 119 metres) long and have to be of the same length. All lines on the ground are equally wide, not to exceed 12 centimetres (5 inches).

The ball is considered “in play” once the kick is taken and the ball is touched by a teammate of the goalkeeper OR the ball crosses the build-out line OR the ball comes to a complete stop inside the build- out line. o Players must remain behind the build-out line until the ball is considered in play.
The goal lines are two short lines at each end of the field, perpendicular to the touchlines and together they form the boundary. They are placed equidistant from the corner flags and define the inbounds area of the field.
