The parties may agree to a different performance. This is called an accord. When the accord is performed, this is called an accord and satisfaction. The original obligation is discharged. How to dispute your TransUnion report by mail. You can send disputes by mail to TransUnion Consumer Solutions, P.O. Box 2000, Chester, PA 19016-2000. TransUnion recommends including the following in your dispute letter: Your Social Security number and date of birth.

Send your letter by certified mail with “return receipt requested,” so you can document that the credit bureaus got it. Keep your original documents. Include copies of the documents that support your request and save copies for your files.

You can get an identity theft report from the Federal Trade Commission or a law enforcement agency. You can start this process online by submitting a dispute through the TransUnion Service Center. When uploading documents online, there is a box you can check to note the documents are related to fraud.

We don't currently support online document uploads for public records disputes like bankruptcy or updates to personal information such as Social Security number, date of birth, name and address. If you need to provide supporting documents for either type of dispute, please file your dispute request by phone or mail.
