IDES will review your filed claim. In roughly 7-10 business days, you will receive a UI Finding letter detailing the eligibility results of the claim. The Finding letter will contain information about your benefits and your certification day.
How are Benefits Calculated? A weekly benefit amount is determined by: • Adding the amount of the two highest earning quarters from a base period; • Taking 47% of the total received from adding the two highest earning quarters; and • Dividing the result by 26.
If you make $1000 per week in Illinois, your estimated weekly benefit is $470 for up to 26 weeks.
The best way to complete your certification is online from am - pm on your designated certification day, including holidays. Thursdays and Fridays are make-up days if you miss your certification day. You may also certify by Tele-Serve at (312) 338-4337 (am - pm, Monday - Friday).
The program ensures that, if you meet the eligibility requirements of the law, you will have some income while you are looking for a job, up to a maximum of 26 full weeks in a one-year period, depending on when the claim was established.
If you become unemployed, you may file a claim online at IDES.Illinois or at an IDES office. Office locations can be found online or by calling IDES Claimant Services. File your claim during the first week after you have become unemployed or as soon thereafter as possible.
The fastest way to resolve an issue is still online or over the phone! Call the Claimant Services Center at (800) 244-5631 to speak with an expert.
