US Permanent Residents (Non-citizens) An original Alien Registration Card is required, along with a national passport (passport from country of birth). For visits exceeding 30 days: A valid national passport and a Bahamas visa are required for US resident non-citizens wishing to stay longer than 30 days.
Permanent residents (PR) of Canada must carry and show their valid permanent resident card (PR card) or permanent resident travel document (PRTD) when boarding a flight to Canada, or travelling to Canada on any other commercial carrier.
If you're outside Canada without a valid PR card, you need to apply for a permanent resident travel document (PRTD). For example, if your PR card expires or is lost, stolen or damaged while you're outside Canada, you need a PRTD to enter Canada by commercial vehicle (airplane, bus, boat or train).
Persons holding a valid Canadian passport or permanent resident card DO NOT require a visa to enter The Bahamas. Passports, must be valid for at least 3 months from the date of return if travelling direct from Canada, and 6 months if transiting through the United States.
