The Township of Wayne gets its drinking water from the North Jersey District Water Supply Commission (NJDWSC). The NJDWSC takes water from the Wanaque and Monksville Reservoirs and also has the capability to pump water from the Pompton and Ramapo Rivers up into the Wanaque Reservoir as needed.
