How to fill out Form Interrogatories Fill in basic information at the top of the form. Provide basic information about your case. Select the questions. (a) A defendant may propound interrogatories to a party to the action without leave of court at any time. (b) A plaintiff may propound interrogatories to a party without leave of court at any time that is 10 days after the service of the summons on, or appearance by, that party, whichever occurs first.

Read each question (interrogatory) very carefully. Answer only the question that is asked, and avoid the temptation to over-explain your answer. If the question contains several parts, you may break your answer into parts as well. It is also possible that you might object to the question.
If you do not respond, then the other side will request entry of default. The Court will then wait a period of time and then assume that you have waived the right to contest the allegations--they will be deemed proven true.
