There is no days per week restriction. 16 and 17-year-old minors enrolled in school may not work for more than nine hours in any one day, 40 hours in a school week, 48 hours in a non-school week, and six days in any one week.

Check what times of day you can work In most jobs, you can't normally be asked to work between 10pm and 6am. If your contract says you have to work until 11pm, that's alright but you shouldn't start work before 7am the next morning. You can be asked to work at other times in exceptional circumstances.

16-17 year olds may now work a maximum of 28 hours per week during school and only between the hours of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. when school is open for instruction. In order to work past 10 p.m. on nights before a school day, both school and parental consent will be required.

Minimum Age Standards For Employment 16 - Basic minimum age for employment. Sixteen- and 17-year-olds may be employed for unlimited hours in any occupation other than those declared hazardous by the Secretary of Labor.
