Minors under 16 are not allowed to work more than 40 hours per week. There are also restrictions on how early and late a minor may work (7am 7pm for 14 and 15 year olds, and 6am 11pm for 16 and 17 year olds).All minors under the age of 18 who work in New Jersey must have an employment certificate, also known as "Working Papers," or a special permit. Many standard forms are available below. All forms are categorized into their respective departments. Minor discipline is a written reprimand, or a suspension or fine of five days or less. Minors under 16 may work 8-40 during non-school day or week. 8-30-6 during schoolyear. Most Announcements will remain on this page for at least two weeks.
