Contra Costa County provides financial assistance for unemployed and disabled persons. Unemployed people can receive monthly payments up to $336 for up to 90-days in a 12-month period. Disabled people can receive monthly payments up to $375 continuously.
To be eligible for CAPI, you must meet all of the following eligibility requirements: Be a California resident; Be age 65 or over, blind, or disabled; Be a non-citizen and meet the immigration status criteria in effect for SSI/SSP as of 08/21/96; Be ineligible for SSI/SSP solely due to your immigration status.
How long should it take to process my application? All CAPI applications must be processed as soon as possible but no later than thirty (30) calendar days from the date the application was filed.
