How to send a letter to an inmate? When writing to an inmate, include the inmate's full legal name, ID number, and facility address on the envelope with proper postage. Follow facility guidelines to ensure mail delivery.
Inmates may receive letters via US mail. The amount of letters an inmate can receive is not restricted; however, no packages or boxes will be accepted. Letters MUST have the inmate's name and the sender's name with the return address. All mail received will be opened and inspected by jail staff.
