FAQ

How fast can you get married in Las Vegas? You can get married the same day you arrive should that be your desire! On average a couple can get their license and get married in 1-2 hours.

That's the beauty behind Las Vegas! You can get your license and your Nevada Marriage Certificate all on the same day.

It takes about 15 minutes to issue the paperwork. When is the best time to come in and get our license? The Marriage License Bureau is always busy, but typically, our least busy days are Sundays and Tuesdays; the least busy times are 8-10 a.m. and then 8 p.m. until midnight PST.

There is no waiting period. You do not need a blood test. Marriage records in Nevada are public documents and cannot be made confidential or sealed.

If you know where your marriage or divorce took place, please go directly to the county in which the event occurred. They will be able to get you the copy of your marriage license or divorce decree. If you do not know where your marriage or divorce took place, the State of Nevada's Vital Records can help you.

The Joint Lobby (located on the 2nd Floor, Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin Street) is open for walk-in services Monday - Thursday, 9 AM - 4 PM. Services are available by phone and email, Monday-Friday from am to pm.
