If you end a listing early, it risks disappointing potential buyers, so we strongly discourage all our sellers from doing so. However, we understand that there are times when it might be necessary to end a listing early. Some valid reasons include: The item is lost, broken, or no longer available.
Pause item sales They'll see a message stating that you're not processing orders until the Time Away end date. It can take 1–2 hours for your listings to become hidden or reappear. After Time Away ends, listings will reappear automatically; you do not need to edit them.
You can end a listing early if there are at least 12 hours left, regardless of whether or not there are any bids on it. If there are fewer than 12 hours left, you can end the bid if there are no bids, including no canceled bids.
Here's how to end your eBay listings via your My eBay portal: Go to your Active items list. Check the box at the top to select all listings. Select End from the Action dropdown.
Effects of ending an item listing early The listing ends as a successfully sold item. If a different EndingReason is specified, any bids are canceled and the listing ends as an unsuccessful listing (item unsold).
You can only end auction listings with bids one at a time by selecting a valid reason. Ending listings early disappoints bidders, so we may place limits and restrictions on your account if you are doing so regularly.
An order cannot be cancelled if: The seller has dispatched the item or the item has been collected in person. The buyer has reported that the item hasn't arrived. The buyer has opened a return request. It's more than 30 days since the order was placed.
Listings with Bids or Offers If the auction ends within 12 hours and has bids, you cannot end the listing early. If the listing ends in more than 12 hours, you can cancel the bids and then remove the listing.
Ending a listing does not impact your Feedback Score or percentage nor can it cause a "defect" (which is short for "defective transaction"). Those can be affected only by "transactions" between buyers and sellers.
