Once you have the text field... Right-click on it and choose Properties. Switch to the Appearance tab. Click the swatch beside Fill Color and choose or mix your field fill color. Click Close.
For help you may press the F1 key while viewing a form. button in the upper right hand corner of the menu bar of the PDF form. After clicking this button the Fillable Fields within the form will be highlighted in a light blue color which will allow you to enter your information within these fields.
In the Appearance tab, you can adjust how the form field visually presents on the page. This tab is available for all form field types except barcodes and offers the following options: Border Color: Choose a color for the field frame or opt for no frame.
Make sure that the security settings allow form filling. (See File > Properties > Security.) Make sure that the PDF includes interactive, or fillable, form fields. Sometimes form creators forget to convert their PDFs to interactive forms, or they intentionally design a form you can only fill in by hand.
