Temporary restraining order. (a) Generally. If, on a motion for a preliminary injunction, the plaintiff shall show that immediate and irreparable injury, loss or damages will result unless the defendant is restrained before a hearing can be had, a temporary restraining order may be granted without notice.
You can also contact the courthouse directly where you wish to file an injunction to ask if they have a form for you to use, or if you have to draft your own injunction. Court have some forms for people to use, but there are several court filings that a form is not provided for.
Duration of a TRO A TRO typically lasts for 20 days in the Regional Trial Court and 72 hours for an ex parte TRO issued without notifying the opposing party. Within this period, a court hearing will be set to determine whether a preliminary injunction, a longer-lasting remedy, should be issued.
Specifically, pursuant to Uniform Rule 202.7 (f), upon an application for an order to show cause that seeks a temporary restraining order, the application must contain an affirmation demonstrating that there will be significant prejudice to the party seeking the restraining order by the giving of notice.
A temporary injunction is issued immediately, before all the matters in the case can be heard. As the name implies, it is only temporary—it can be overturned if, during the full trial later on, or based on settlement between the parties, something changes.
A Subsequent Order Granting or Denying a Motion Seeking to Modify or Cancel the TRO May be Appealable. There are a number of reported cases holding that such orders are, in fact, appealable, which provides a backdoor way to appeal the initial order granting or denying the TRO.

An Order to Show Cause consists of a top page called an Order to Show Cause (OSC), followed by an Affidavit in Support of the OSC, and copies of any documents that the moving side (movant) thinks would help the Judge make a decision. The OSC tells the court and the other side what the movant wants the Judge to do.
The decision of the court shall be rendered within sixty days after the cause or matter is finally submitted or within sixty days after a motion under rule 4403, whichever is later, unless the parties agree to extend the time.
