To amend a return not previously prepared in Drake Tax, recreate the original 1120 return in Drake before opening screen X. Open and complete screen X. Enter the amended data in the other appropriate screens. Calculate and view the return.
Drake Tax - NY: IT-201/203 Amended Return The New York Individual part-year and nonresident amended returns can be e-filed. The IT-201X and IT-203X are available selections on the EF screen. Drake Software recommends that you archive the return prior to amendment.
Step 1: Click the three dots on the upper right corner of your Google Chrome browser to expand the More Options list. Step 2: Select Print. Step 3: Click on More Settings. Step 4: Select the correct paper size from the dropdown.

File an amended return using Form 1040-X, Amended U.S. Individual Income Tax Return as soon as possible. Include any forms and/or schedules that you're changing and/or didn't include with the original return. Return the refund check with a letter of explanation.
If you need to make a change or adjustment on a return already filed, you can file an amended return. Use Form 1040-X, Amended U.S. Individual Income Tax Return, and follow the instructions.

Note: filing an amended return does not affect the selection process of the original return. However, amended returns also go through a screening process and the amended return may be selected for audit. Additionally, a refund is not necessarily a trigger for an audit.
Amending Returns Electronically Login on the CDTFA's secure website with your Username and Password. Select the account for which you want to submit an amended return for under the "Accounts" tab. Select the period for which you want to submit an amended return for under "Recent Periods" tab.
