In the event you were not able to appear on your scheduled summons date for jury service, you will need to contact our office via the Juror Portal using your badge number in order to avoid receiving a Failure to Appear notice that can result in a fine, imprisonment or both, pursuant to C.C.P. 209.
Once you have been directed to a courtroom, the clerk will call twelve to eighteen names from a random list, and these people will take seats in the jury box. The remaining prospective jurors will remain seated in the courtroom.
