Oakland County offers The Visitor™ video visitation system which allows friends, family members, and professionals the control to schedule and conduct video visits at a time convenient for them and avoid wasting time waiting in long lines or traveling to the facility.
If you have been incarcerated in the Bay County Jail within the past 90 days, you will not be eligible to schedule a visit. To schedule a video visit, please call Via Path Technologies at 1-888-516-0115 or visit .gettingout/visit-now/ to set up an account.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office offers three ways to send mail to inmates that are incarcerated. You can send regular US postal mail, legal/business mail, and electronic messages (e-mail). Inmates will be granted access to a tablet on which they can view the mail and photos you send to them.
Bldg 38E, Pontiac, MI 48341, and this facility can be contacted at 248-858-1800. To view current inmates, visit the inmate locator portal at , which shows mugshots, arrest details, and location of inmates.
You can contact them at .smartinmate or 1-888 253-5178 (24 hours, 7 days a week) to create an account and deposit funds, which will be converted into credits (one credit = 0.01) for both inmate phone calls and video visits. (See Inmate Visitation above for specific information regarding video visits.)
In order to live comfortably, I would suggest an amount between $120 and $200 per month. This would allow for food virtually every day of the week and luxury items when desired, even if not the maximum amount allowed to be spent in a given month.
If you are unable to locate an Incarcerated Person, please contact the CDCR Identification Unit at (916) 445-6713.
The Corrections Division is now offering a new IVR which is accessed by calling 267-915-4072. This system allows for the public to search and receive information via the telephone on all active offenders, such as: Bond.
