Reach out locally Keep them from feeling isolated by going for a visit, bringing over a meal to share or renting their favorite movie for you to watch together. Offer to run errands for those seniors who can no longer drive. Make it a weekly ritual, and let them know they can call upon you when needed.
The senior citizen credit offers a $50 credit per tax return. Seniors who have received a total, lump-sum distribution may be eligible for a one-time lump-sum distribution credit. Use the worksheet in the Ohio income tax instructions booklet to calculate your credit.
Eligibility. To be eligible, individuals must: Be a Clinton County resident age 65+ OR a Butler, Hamilton or Warren County resident age 60+ Require help with certain activities of daily living (ADLs and IADLs) such as bathing, cooking, transportation, etc.
You may qualify for SNAP if your household's gross monthly income (the total monthly countable earned and unearned income) is at or below 130% of the federal poverty guidelines. Program Description The Ohio Elderly Services Program, also referred to as ESP, provides in-home services for seniors to assist them in living independently in their own homes (and potentially adult foster care homes), rather than require nursing home placement.
