We wanted to eat at Illinois oldest tavern and made the trip here. Long Grove is a town of about 8000 and the downtown area is full of small unique shops. The Village Tavern, established in 1847, is a pretty neat place. Beautiful bar and the walls are covered with photos from the past 173 years.
