Who Are the Three Angels Named in the Bible? Saint Michael. One of the most powerful archangels in the Bible, Michael is well known for his warrior prowess and is described as “a great prince” in the book of Daniel. Saint Raphael. Saint Gabriel. Glory to God. Source:
Only two angels are specifically named in Scripture. As we said above, the archangel Michael is mentioned in Jude 9, Revelation –8, and Daniel and 21. Gabriel is the only other angel named in the Bible. He's mentioned in Daniel and as a messenger who comes from God to speak to Daniel.
Fallen angel names include Lucifer, Beelzebub, Leviathan, Asmodeus, Berith, Astaroth, Verrine, Gressil, Sonneillon and Belial. These are Angels that fall from grace along with Lucifer.
Technically, only Michael is called an archangel in the Bible (Jude ). Our identification of Gabriel as an archangel is due to non-canonical Second Temple Jewish literature. First Enoch also names additional archangels, like Raphael and Phanuel.
They believe Jesus is an archangel in the true sense of the word—the supreme leader of angels. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) interprets the term "archangel" as meaning "Chief Angel", Michael is the only individual so designated in the Latter Day Saints canon.
They believe that name "Michael" signifies "One Who Is Like God" and that as the "Archangel" or "chief or head of the angels" he led the angels and thus the statement in Revelation –9 identifies/refers to Jesus as Michael.
There are 12 notable Archangels associated with each of the zodiac signs: Ariel (Aries), Chamuel (Taurus), Zadkiel (Gemini), Gabriel (Cancer), Raziel (Leo), Metatron (Virgo), Jophiel (Libra), Jeremiel (Scorpio), Raguel (Sagittarius), Azrael (Capricorn), Uriel (Aquarius), and Sandalphon (Pisces).
Your prayer or asking can be as simple as “Angels, help me with (whatever you need help with).” Or “Angels, please protect/guide me.” Or “Angels, please resolve this situation in the highest and the best way.” You can also pray specifically to an Archangel for specific areas of life.
Call Archangel Michael into the room. You might say something like, "Archangel Michael, work with me today" or "Archangel Michael, please be at my side." By actively asking the Archangel for help, you give him permission to enter your life.
