FAQ

Filing a mechanic's lien in California involves several steps, starting with providing notice to the vehicle owner. Then, you must fill out the mechanics lien form and include pertinent details about the work performed. Once completed, file the lien with the county clerk's office where the vehicle owner resides. This legally secures your right to payment for services rendered.

To file a lien on a vehicle in California, you must complete the appropriate forms and submit them to the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Begin by obtaining a Vehicle Registration Lien form.
