North Carolina — Pre-K Handbook Acknowledgement is a document that recognizes and acknowledges the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services' Prekindergarten (Pre-K) program. This document is used to indicate that a person has read and is familiar with the Pre-K program. There are two types of North Carolina — Pre-K Handbook Acknowledgement, the Pre-K Handbook Acknowledgement for Parents and the Pre-K Handbook Acknowledgement for Staff. The Parent Acknowledgement form states the parent's understanding of the Pre-K program, its policies, and expectations. The Staff Acknowledgement form states the staff member's understanding of the Pre-K program, its policies, and expectations, as well as the employee's commitment to upholding the standards of the program. The forms must be signed and dated by the individual and the appropriate personnel.
