The Illinois 9c4 Good Cause Exemption is a type of legal protection available to individuals who are facing the revocation or suspension of their driver's license due to certain traffic violations. This protection allows the individual to keep their driver's license, remain legally allowed to drive and avoid other penalties such as increased insurance premiums. There are three types of Illinois 9c4 Good Cause Exemption: 1) Security Deposit, 2) Default Judgment, and 3) Probationary License. The Security Deposit Exemption requires the individual to pay a security deposit to the Secretary of State. The Default Judgment Exemption is available to individuals who have had their driver's license suspended or revoked due to a default judgment or other court order. The Probationary License Exemption is available to individuals who have received a Probationary License from the Secretary of State.
