En consecuencia, la revocacion de una donaciA³n debe efectuarse mediante escritura pAºblica, en vista que dicha formalidad estA¡ establecida como un requisito de validez de la donaciA³n en el artAculo 1625 del referido CA³digo y es a partir de su otorgamiento que se tiene como hecha.
La donacion puede ser revocada por ingratitud:Si el donatario comete algAºn delito contra la persona, la honra o los bienes del donante o de los ascendientes, descendientes o cA³nyuge de A©ste;Si el donatario rehAºsa socorrer, segAºn el valor de la donaciA³n, al donante que ha venido a pobreza.
El donante cuando el donatario no cumple con su voluntad, esta autorizado para revocar la donaciA³n. Para que se dA© esta situaciA³n el donatario debe incumplir de forma voluntaria y no existe una condiciA³n para revocar como es la exigencia previamente del cumplimiento.

Las donaciones se revocan por medio de demanda judicial en la que se alega la causa de revocacion, a menos naturalmente que el donatario reconozca la existencia de dicha causa y acepte voluntariamente prestar su consentimiento a la revocaciA³n.
