Additional extensions beyond the automatic extension period — We will grant an additional extension only if an extension is granted by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) beyond the date of the Illinois automatic extension. Your additional Illinois extension will be for the length of time approved by the IRS.
Submit the completed IL-1120-ST form to the Illinois Department of Revenue. You can mail it to P.O. Box 19053, Springfield, IL 62794-9053 if a payment is included, or P.O. Box 19032, Springfield, IL 62794-9032 if no payment is enclosed. Ensure that you keep a copy of the submitted form for your records.
Investment partnerships with nonresident partners must file a Form IL-1065 to report investment partnership withholding. See the Form IL-1065 instructions for more information. In general, Form IL-1065 is due on or before the 15th day of the 4th month following the close of the taxable year.
Alaska doesn't collect income tax, so there is no Alaska tax extension to file. Florida doesn't collect income tax, so there is no Florida tax extension to file. Nevada doesn't collect income tax, so there is no Nevada tax extension to file.

You must file Form IL-1065, Partnership Replacement Tax Return, if you are a partnership, as defined in "Definitions to help you complete your Form IL-1065" in the Form IL-1065 instructions, and you have base income or loss as defined under the Illinois Income Tax Act (IITA) allocable to Illinois.

Your additional Illinois extension will be for the length of time approved by the IRS. You must attach a copy of the approved federal extension to your Form IL-1065.
If you have a valid Federal extension (IRS Form 7004), the State of Illinois will automatically grant you an Illinois extension. In this case, you don't have to do anything else to obtain an Illinois extension — unless you owe state tax. You are not required to file Form IL-505-B if your Illinois tax balance is zero.

The partnership will report any information you need to figure unrelated business taxable income under section 512(a)(1) (but excluding any modifications required by paragraphs (8) through (15) of section 512(b)) for a partner that is a tax-exempt organization.
