If they dispute it, it's wise to listen to their concerns and document the conversation. You can make necessary adjustments if it’s warranted.
Hand it over in person if you can, or email it. Just make sure they have a copy for their records – it’s the right thing to do.
Once it’s issued, it's best to keep it as is. If there’s an error, you can issue a correction but don’t go back and change the original.
