Wyoming Abatement 3. Claim for Child Support Abatement is a form used by the Wyoming Department of Family Services (DFS) to request a reduction or abatement of a court-ordered child support obligation. This form is typically used when a parent's financial situation has changed due to unemployment, disability, or other financial hardship. There are two types of Abatement 3. Claims: Temporary and Permanent. The Temporary Abatement Claim allows for a temporary reduction of the child support obligation for up to six months. The Permanent Abatement Claim allows for a permanent reduction of the obligation. The parent must provide evidence of the financial hardship, such as income documentation, to be eligible for the abatement.
