Wisconsin Motion to Revoke Suspension of Proceedings to Effect Reconciliation is a legal document used in Wisconsin family law court proceedings. It is a motion filed by one or both parties to a divorce or legal separation action in order to suspend the proceedings so that the parties can attempt to reconcile their differences without a judgment from the court. This motion can be used to suspend the proceedings for a period of six months or less, and is often used as an alternative to filing for divorce or legal separation. There are two types of Wisconsin Motion to Revoke Suspension of Proceedings to Effect Reconciliation; one is a joint motion, which is filed by both parties and requires both their signatures; the other is a unilateral motion, which is filed by one of the parties and does not require the signature of the other party. Both require the approval of the court in order to be granted.
