Washington Fall Protection Work Plan is a safety plan that outlines the safety requirements for a construction site in the state of Washington. The plan includes a hazard assessment, selection of personal protective equipment, and a training program for employees. It also outlines the types of fall protection systems that should be used on the job site, as well as the inspection and maintenance procedures for fall protection equipment. The Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) has developed the fall protection standard to ensure that construction workers are adequately protected from potential fall hazards. The standard defines the requirements for fall protection equipment, systems, and plans based on the type of work being performed. There are two main types of Washington Fall Protection Work Plans: the Full-Time Fall Protection Plan and the Part-Time Fall Protection Plan. The Full-Time Fall Protection Plan is designed for sites that require workers to be on the job site for eight hours or more per day. The Part-Time Fall Protection Plan is designed for sites that require workers to be on the job site for fewer than eight hours per day. Both plans require a comprehensive hazard assessment, selection of the appropriate fall protection systems, training of workers, and inspection and maintenance of fall protection equipment. The plan must be in place before any work begins and must be reviewed at least once a year.
