Washington Appendix A — School Transfer is a process that allows students in Washington state to transfer from one public school to another. The process is governed by the Washington State Board of Education and is outlined in the Washington Administrative Code (WAC 392-400). There are two types of Washington Appendix A — School Transfer: inter-district and intra-district. Inter-district transfers enable students to transfer from one school district to another. Intra-district transfers allow students to transfer from one school to another within the same district. Both processes require the completion of a form and supporting documentation, as well as approval by the receiving school district. The process also requires that the student meet certain eligibility requirements, such as residency requirements, academic performance, and/or disciplinary records.
