The Washington Certificate of Cancellation (Foreign) is a document issued by the Washington State Department of Revenue that officially cancels the registration of a foreign entity doing business in the state. It is issued upon request of the foreign entity and serves as proof that the entity has officially withdrawn from the state and fulfilled all of its obligations to the Washington State Department of Revenue. There are two types of Washington Certificate of Cancellation (Foreign): one issued by the Secretary of State, and one issued by the Department of Revenue. The Secretary of State's certificate is issued when an entity is dissolved or cancelled by the Secretary of State. The Department of Revenue's certificate is issued when an entity is no longer required to pay taxes in the state of Washington.
