A Washington Arbitration Award is a binding decision made by an arbitrator or a panel of arbitrators following a hearing or arbitration in the state of Washington. This decision is based upon the parties’ submissions and testimony, as well as the applicable law. The award is the final determination of the dispute, and is enforceable in Washington state courts. There are two types of Washington Arbitration Awards: a Final Award and an Interim Award. A Final Award is a binding decision of the dispute, and cannot be appealed. An Interim Award is a non-binding decision that serves as an interim measure while the parties await the final decision in a dispute.
