Washington Trial By Affidavit Certificate is an instrument issued by Washington courts to allow a party to a dispute to pursue a legal claim without a court hearing. It permits the parties to submit evidence in the form of written statements, known as affidavits, and have them considered as if they had given testimony in court. There are two types of Washington Trial By Affidavit Certificate: one for claims up to $10,000 and one for claims of more than $10,000. Both require the parties to submit affidavits and other evidence, and must also include an Order of Court that outlines the details of the action. The parties must then file their affidavits with the court and serve them on the other party. Once all the evidence has been submitted, the court will decide the matter and render a judgment.
