Vermont C-50 Power of Attorney is a legal document that allows a person (the principal) to appoint another person (the attorney-in-fact) to act on their behalf in financial and legal matters. By signing a Vermont C-50 Power of Attorney, the principal grants the attorney-in-fact the authority to make decisions regarding their finances, property, and/or medical care. The Vermont C-50 Power of Attorney document is specific to the state of Vermont and is governed by Vermont state laws. There are two types of Vermont C-50 Power of Attorney: a Durable Power of Attorney and a Springing Power of Attorney. A Durable Power of Attorney is effective immediately and will remain in effect even if the principal becomes incapacitated. A Springing Power of Attorney is only effective when the principal is incapacitated and will be invalidated if the principal regains capacity.
