A Utah Motion to Change Venue is a legal document used to request that a court case be moved from one court to another. This motion is filed when the parties involved in a case feel that the current court does not have the jurisdiction or resources to properly hear the case. There are three types of Utah Motion to Change Venue: Removal to Federal Court, Change of County Venue, and Change of District Venue. Removal to Federal Court is used to move a case from a state court to a federal court. Change of County Venue is used to move a case from one county to another within the same district. Change of District Venue is used to move a case from one judicial district to another. All Utah Motion to Change Venue motions must be filed with the court and must include the legal grounds for the motion as well as supporting documents.
