18 U.S.C. Sec. 924(c)(1)(B) lists certain weapons that are prohibited in the United States. The weapons listed in this section include machine guns, short-barreled shotguns, handguns with a barrel length of less than 12 inches, and any firearm that is capable of discharging a projectile with an explosive, incendiary, or poison gas. In addition, 18 U.S.C. Sec. 924(c)(1)(B) also includes any firearm that has been modified to be silenced, disguised, or converted to an automatic weapon. These weapons are considered to be "destructive devices" and are illegal to possess in the United States.
