Pennsylvania Estate — Decree of Distribution is a legal document issued by a court in the state of Pennsylvania that divides the assets of a deceased person's estate among the heirs or beneficiaries. It is generally issued after an estate has been probated in the court of the county where the deceased resided. The Decree of Distribution sets out how the assets of the estate are to be distributed, including how real property, personal property, financial accounts, and other assets are to be divided among beneficiaries. There are two main types of Pennsylvania Estate — Decree of Distribution: General Decree and Special Decree. A General Decree is the most common type and is issued when all the required documents and information have been provided to the court. This type of Decree is typically used when the deceased did not have a will, and when the assets are to be divided according to the intestate laws of Pennsylvania. A Special Decree is used when the estate includes a will and when the assets are to be distributed according to the deceased's wishes as expressed in the will.
