Pennsylvania Articles of Incorporation Nonprofit is a legal document filed with the Pennsylvania Department of State in order to create a nonprofit corporation in the state. This document must include the name of the nonprofit, its purpose, and the name and address of each incorporated. The Articles of Incorporation must be signed and notarized before they can be filed. There are two types of Pennsylvania Articles of Incorporation Nonprofit: Domestic Nonprofit Corporation and Foreign Nonprofit Corporation. A Domestic Nonprofit Corporation is a corporation formed in Pennsylvania, while a Foreign Nonprofit Corporation is one formed in another state but doing business in Pennsylvania. Both types are subject to the Pennsylvania Nonprofit Corporation Law.
