Oregon Summons — Residential Eviction is a legal document issued by a court in the state of Oregon to an individual or entity being evicted from residential property. This document is used to inform the tenant of the eviction and to give them the opportunity to appear in court to contest the eviction. The summons includes the date, time, and place of the hearing, as well as the legal basis for the eviction. There are two types of Oregon Summons — Residential Eviction: Summary Eviction and Formal Eviction. In Summary Eviction, the landlord is not required to file a complaint or affidavit with the court. In Formal Eviction, the landlord must file a complaint and affidavit with the court. The summons is served on the tenant either in person or by registered mail.
