Oregon Family Law Confidential Information Form (CIF) is a form that is used by Oregon family law attorneys to protect the confidentiality of client information. It is an agreement between the attorney and the client that outlines the limits of what information the attorney can disclose about the client’s case. The CIF is designed to protect information that could be used to identify the client or the parties to the case. This includes information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, and financial records. The form also outlines the rights of the client and the attorney in regard to confidentiality of information. There are several types of Oregon Family Law Confidential Information Forms (CIF's), including CIF's for custody and parenting plans, spousal and child support, division of property and debts, and dissolution of marriage.
