Oklahoma Adjudication of Delinquent is a legal process by which a juvenile who has been charged with a criminal offense is determined to be delinquent by a court of competent jurisdiction. If the court finds that the juvenile has committed the offense, the juvenile is declared delinquent and may be subject to certain consequences, such as confinement or probation. There are three types of Oklahoma Adjudication of Delinquency: informal, formal, and delinquency. In informal adjudication, a juvenile justice staff person reviews the evidence and makes a decision whether the juvenile should be declared delinquent. In formal adjudication, the juvenile is brought before a court and a judge makes a decision whether the juvenile should be declared delinquent. In delinquency adjudication, the juvenile is found to be delinquent and is subject to confinement or probation.
