Description

Keeping Minor for Prostitution

Oklahoma Keeping Minor for Prostitution (also known as KM) is a state law that prohibits adults from knowingly permitting a minor to engage in prostitution. This law applies to both customers and providers of prostitution services. KM is a felony, punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $25,000. There are two types of KM: aiding and abetting and pandering. Aiding and abetting occurs when an adult facilitates the prostitution of a minor by providing transportation, shelter, food, money or other resources. Pandering occurs when an adult knowingly persuades, induces or encourages a minor to engage in prostitution. Both are punishable under Oklahoma law.
