New Jersey Appellate Notice of Motion is a legal document that is filed in the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court. It is a request to the court for an order or appointment of a motion hearing. This notice is filed to initiate a motion that seeks to have the decision of a lower court reversed, vacated, or modified. It is also used to seek an order from the court to compel the lower court to take a particular action. There are three different types of New Jersey Appellate Notice of Motion. These include a Motion for Leave to Appeal, a Motion for Reconsideration, and a Motion for Rehearing. A Motion for Leave to Appeal is used to request the Appellate Division to permit an appeal to be taken from a lower court decision. A Motion for Reconsideration is used to request the Appellate Division to reconsider its own earlier decision. A Motion for Rehearing is used to request the Appellate Division to rehear a case due to errors in the proceedings or the decision of the lower court.
