Nebraska Order of Continuing Lien is a lien registered against a piece of real estate in the state of Nebraska. The lien is a legal instrument that gives rights to the creditor (lien holder) to pursue repayment of a debt from the debtor, who owns the property attached to the lien. The lien allows the lien holder to force the sale of the property if the debt is not paid. There are two types of Nebraska Order of Continuing Lien: 1) Prejudgment Order of Continuing Lien, which is filed prior to a judgment being entered against the debtor; and 2) Post-Judgment Order of Continuing Lien, which is filed after a judgment has been entered against the debtor. Both types of lien will remain in effect until the debt is paid in full or the lien is released or canceled.
