Mississippi Hunting & Fishing Landowner permission is required to hunt, fish, or trap on private lands. MDWFP Wildlife Management Areas are subject to special seasons and regulations which may vary from statewide seasons and regulations.

WMA Hunting Permits (resident and nonresident) Everyone who hunts on a Wildlife Management Area is required to have a WMA permit except the holder of a Lifetime Sportsman License, Annual Sportsman License, Annual Senior Citizen Permit (Type 167), and youths under age 16 hunting small game and waterfowl.

Sportsman License (Includes Fall & Spring Turkey Hunting, Archery/Primitive Weapon/Crossbow, and Freshwater Fishing. Does not include WMA User Permit, Saltwater Fishing or Waterfowl Stamp.) All Game Hunting/Freshwater Fishing (Includes Spring Turkey Hunting.

Landowner permission is required to hunt, fish or trap on the lands of another.Non-Resident - All non-resident hunters, except minors under the age of sixteen (16), are required to obtain a hunting license while hunting in the State of Mississippi.

In order to purchase a Hunting and Fishing License online, you must have a: Valid Driver's License (if under the age of 16 use Social Security Number). Please do not include dashes or spaces while entering your Driver's License Number. Hunter's Education Number (if born on or after January 1, 1972).

This license includes small game hunting, and freshwater fishing. The State and Federal Waterfowl Stamps, Archery/Primitive Weapon/Crossbow, WMA User Permit, and Saltwater Fishing must be purchased in addition to this license. 3-Day Sportsman Apprentice License- Valid for 3 consecutive days.
