A Missouri Arrest Warrant is a legal document issued by a court or magistrate of the state of Missouri that authorizes a law enforcement officer to apprehend and detain an individual. The warrant is issued based off of probable cause that the individual committed a crime or violated a court order. There are three types of Missouri Arrest Warrants: bench warrants, fugitive warrants, and capital warrants. A bench warrant is issued when an individual fails to appear in court when summoned, and the court orders law enforcement to bring the individual to court. A fugitive warrant is issued when an individual is believed to have committed a crime in Missouri and has left the state of Missouri. A capital warrant is issued when an individual has failed to comply with a court order, such as failing to pay child support.
