Mineral exploration means ascertaining the presence, extent or quality of any deposit of a mineral with a view to exploiting that mineral. Mineral exploration includes the process of exploring, by various means, for mineral deposits (including geothermal sources). Such activities, not involving the extraction of minerals, shall not be considered or regulated as a land use by this title.
